The traditional Kenyan breakfast is tea and bread spread with margarine which is had in most households around the country. At the coast some may prefer tea with chapatti or mandazi (local pastry). You can buy these at some of the cheap local restaurants for under $1.
The major hotels and lodges provide a more amicable sometimes buffet three-course breakfast which lasts normally up to about 11.30 am.
Some mid priced hotels and restaurants in the cities also serve normally English-style breakfast at affordable prices.
