Communication in Kenya

The main communication channels in Kenya are; postal mail, the internet and telephone.

For a third world country, communication here is reliable to a certain extent. Sending and receiving letters via the post is sometimes not a good option especially when sending valuables or important documents. There are sometimes delays, tampering and loss of mail.

If necessary while sending mail within the country you can use local courier services which deliver mail to a number of destinations overnight at a small fee.

The local telephone service includes landlines and a number of mobile phone carriers.

The internet and email is steadily becoming a popular communication option. There are a number of internet cafes around the country. Some hotels may also offer internet services.
